In general, gynecology (for example, endometriosis and fibroids) are mild, minimally invasive surgical procedures, including robotic laparoscopy. As part of the University's Children's Centre, obstetricians and midwives work closely with specialists in neonatology and pediatrics surgery as a centre for perinatal care. Patients are always provided with maximum treatment options in accordance with the highest standards of the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as family-oriented obstetrics.
The University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus is an important partner for medical practitioners, as well as for patients in Dresden and East Saxony.
The clinic comprises 26 departments, 4 research institutions and 14 interdisciplinary centres. Doctors of all departments work together, and patient-related issues are often discussed and evaluated by several specialists. In 2012, the Diagnostic Neurological Center opened its doors. It includes the departments of internal medicine, urology, neurology and radiology.
