Mount Elizabeth Hospital

Since 1995, Mount Elizabeth Hospital has been owned by Parkway Holdings LTD. It is the first private hospital in Singapore to offer open heart surgery and a nuclear medicine center.

The Royal Family of Brunei built the Royal Suite at the hospital for their own use. It was later made available for use by other patients.

Construction began in 1976 and the hospital was officially opened on December 8, 1979. The hospital is located on Singapore's Orchard Road, Mount Elizabeth.

It is a state-of-the-art hospitality that marks a new era in specialist healthcare, with over 250 specialized teams of doctors and tertiary medical treatment offered in the comfort of all single rooms.

Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Specialty Center not only provides access to quality care, but also provides patients and visitors with an enhanced hospital experience through stylishly designed interiors. Maintaining Singapore's reputation as a world-class healthcare provider, the clinic has also been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).

The adjacent Mount Elizabeth Medical Center (MEMC) has clinics with only private medical specialists. Physicians must be specialists accredited by the Singapore Medical Council to practice at Mount Elizabeth Medical Center. They practice in a total of 31 specialties including Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery, Dentistry, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General surgery, Medical oncology, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedic surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Pediatric medicine, Plastic surgery, Renal medicine, Respiratory medicine and Urology. The frequency of consultations and treatments varies depending on the condition, clinic, and specialist.

The medical center serves patients of all ages from Singapore, South East Asia and international patients from all countries. The medical center also contains pharmacies and stores on the second floor.

All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms, minibars, coffee machines and luxury linens. Limousine transfer servicses and complimentary maternity massage are also included in the price. About 30% of patients are medical tourists.
