Samsung Medical Center was opened in 1994. During its existence, the center has gained a worldwide fame and found itself in leading positions among Korean hospitals.
This is one of the largest hospitals in Korea: 1,300 doctors work here. The center welcomes more than 2 million patients and performs almost 50,000 surgeries annually. Research work also brings the clinic to the level of the best clinics in Asia: 1,500 projects are now at the stage of development, but more than 2,000 have already been introduced into medical practice and are now helping patients in previously hopeless situations.

For the first time in Korea, a bloodless liver transplant, a homogeneous pancreatic tissue transplant, a partial intestinal transplant, and a liver transplant for a three-month-old baby were performed here.

The cardiovascular center operates the first 32-channel helical MRI in Asia, and the center itself works in conjunction with the best clinic in the world - Mayo Clinic, USA.
